Boise's Established
Gateway East District
2019-2039
The Gateway East District holds opportunity to diversify Boise’s economy, create quality jobs, and plan for industrial growth by improving infrastructure and promoting industrial development in and around Boise’s Airport Planning Area. The City of Boise approved the Urban Renewal Plan for the Gateway East Economic Development Project Area in December 2018.
The City of Boise directed Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC), Boise’s redevelopment agency, to proceed with the Gateway East District formation process. Initial investigations began in early 2018, approved of by stakeholders and partner agencies, and formally adopted on December 18, 2018. The Gateway East District took effect January 1, 2019, and will remain an active district for 20 years, and terminate in year 2039.
